Provisional Members
Provisional Members are new Members of the Community who are still in their "trial period". They have all of the most of the rights of Full Members, including participation in the Community's Governance Process, and Financial Profit / Expense plan.

The purpose of the Provisional Membership period is for
- The Community to really experience what it is like to share power with the prospective new member before fully committing to them
- To differentiate the seriousness of intent of the prospective new member from that of other Volunteer / Interns & Visitors who are just passing through
- For the Provisional Member to gain some experience and insight into the Community's system of Governance and decide whether it is a good fit for them.
- The right to sign other Membership Petitions
- The right to Vote or raise Principled Objections within the Decision-making process (although they are welcome to comment, listen, advise, and render opinions).
- The right to Buy in to any Equity available in the land
- The right to build a permanent home for themselves on the land
- The Provisional Member successfully petitions for Full Membership
- The Provisional Member resigns their Membership
- They do not achieve Full Membership within one year of achieving Provisional Membership
- They fall more than 30 days behind on their financial obligations to the Community.
